Bimosiamose
Bimosiamose (
BIMO) is a pan-selectin antagonist, targeted against the selectin family of cell adhesion molecules which is comprised of three structurally related calcium-dependent carbohydrate binding proteins, E-, P- and L-selectin.
Bimosiamose has been proven to be effective in different animal models of acute and chronic disorders like reperfusion injury of different organs, psoriasis and asthma. Based on these studies, Bimosiamose was successfully investigated in different clinical Phase I and Phase IIa trials for the indication of COPD, asthma and psoriasis.
